Class meets weekly on Saturdays for 2 hours at a time for four (4) meetings

8 - 10 am Pacific (7 - 9 am on Nov 9 and 16)

11 am - 1 pm Eastern (10 am - 12 pm on Nov 9 and 16)

4 - 6 pm UK (3 - 5 pm on November 2, 9, 16)

5 - 7 pm South Africa

8:30 - 10:30 pm India


Course Description

In this online course you will:

  • Explore how the external and internal environment may contribute to perplexing behaviors
  • Learn activities that enhance focus, reduce stress and support learning -- that you can use at home, in the classroom or in your practice
  • Become familiar with the basic concepts of the HANDLE modality
  • Recognize subtle signs of stress and learn how to use Gentle Enhancement® to prevent crises and foster resilience

About HANDLE:

HANDLE stands for Holistic Approach to Neuro-Development and Learning Efficiency. It is a gentle and powerful, respectful, non-invasive and non-drug approach to enhancing all forms of learning, both in children and adults.

About the Instructor:

Tariesa Gildenhuys:

Tariesa is a dedicated HANDLE Screener and Level 1 instructor, as well as a qualified schoolteacher specializing in Mathematics. She owns and operates a Remedial/Special Educational Needs School in Pretoria, South Africa, where she draws on over 15 years of experience working with children who face challenges fitting into mainstream education. Tariesa has extensive expertise in supporting children on the autism spectrum, as well as those with Asperger's, ADHD, ADD, and anxiety. With a passion for special education, she has spent a decade teaching in schools for learners with special educational needs.

Tariesa is known for her energetic, ambitious, and compassionate approach to teaching, always striving to help children and young adults develop on cognitive, physical, and emotional levels. She holds a B.Ed. in Intermediate and Senior Phase Education and completed a four-year course in
