Course Description

For people of all ages, the unique HANDLE® approach effectively addresses a wide range of learning, behavior, and developmental issues.

This workshop is for parents, rehabilitation professionals, medical personnel, educators, advocates for people with developmental disabilities, and academics.

· Strengthen neurodevelopmental systems that can cause stress and overwhelm

· Gain an overview of the neurological interactions of the sensory-motor systems

· See video examples of  various learning and behavior issues common today

· Get a layman’s tour of the brain and its connection to the body and behavior

· Practice ways to track sensory cures for improved self-regulation

· Learn to see yourself and others through new eyes

Costs

  • Registration after April 1 - $350
  • Full-time Student & Seniors over 65 $150

Instructor 

Janet L. Oliver MA  http://www.planforlearning.com/plan_bio.html   has been in private practice as a neurodevelopmental specialist for over 19 years, designing home programs for students with sensory, processing, motor and reflex concerns.  Janet works in Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Minneapolis and abroad.  She received her Master’s degree in Human Development from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  As a Certified Instructor for The HANDLE Institute, a leading education and research organization for neurodevelopment, Janet designs and conducts trainings in the U.S. and Europe.  Client sessions can be scheduled at 952 920-1502   www.planforlearning.com
